SAY NO to the SAVE ACT The bill is so unprecedented that Republican Senators are discussing changing the filibuster — a decades-old Senate rule that requires 60 votes for a bill to pass — just to move it forward. For decades during the Jim Crow era, segregationist politicians used the filibuster to block civil and voting rights protections. Now, Republicans may change the rules to create a loophole so they can force a vote on the SAVE Act. If your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't be this desperate to block it.
