The U.S. must be a leader for children’s well-being

Urge Congress to support humanitarian aid

Friend, for families who rely on humanitarian assistance for health care, nutrition, food and education, global aid cuts have been devastating. Hunger, interrupted education, diseases and trauma have all taken a toll on children’s well-being.  Now, we have a chance to restore children’s lifeline and help them survive hunger, war, poverty and preventable diseases.  Our sister organization, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN), is asking Congress to approve the 2026 federal budget, which includes humanitarian assistance that can provide relief for millions of kids and families. Will you send a message to your lawmakers and urge them to support humanitarian aid funding?   Friend, the stats are devastating: 239 million people worldwide need humanitarian assistance, and 520 million children are living in or fleeing conflict.  Ongoing global aid cuts have immediate and lasting consequences for the world’s most vulnerable children — kids facing famine in Gaza, children enduring war in Ukraine, those who’ve lost their homes to floods in Sudan or who’ve had their education disrupted by natural disasters in Myanmar.  Save the Children has been working tirelessly to prioritize children wherever they are for over 100 years. U.S humanitarian aid funding — in addition to your generosity — has played a massive role in carrying out our programs and ensuring children's survival.  We must put pressure on Congress to reach children in the places where it’s toughest to be a kid. Urge your lawmakers to support humanitarian aid funding now.
