Dear Pamela,   For many, the holidays are a time of connection and celebration at home with friends and family. But as we come together this holiday season, we must also remember that too many of our neighbors are denied a place to call home solely because they have a conviction history. We can change that. Vera is fighting to ensure that those impacted by our unjust criminal legal system get a fair chance to be a part of their communities and succeed.   Pamela, a gift from you this holiday season will help us open more doors in the year ahead. Pamela, millions of people like Keisha, Kayla, and Ashia return to their communities from U.S. jails and prisons each year. Research shows that access to stable, affordable housing increases the likelihood that they will be able to receive support from their family, find a job, and avoid future arrest and incarceration. Through advocacy, technical assistance, and research, we are removing barriers to housing across the country. But we can't do it alone.
