A commitment to match dollar for dollar

Take a sneak peek into the end of the year.

Hi Pamela!

In my role as All On The Line's senior mobilization strategist, I get to focus on our grassroots supporters. I spend my time thinking about how to bring new folks into our community, how to mobilize our network in key moments, and yes, how to increase the number of grassroots donations to the All On The Line campaign.

I wanted to give you a peek behind the curtain into how we're building our End-Of-Year fundraising campaign (and spoiler: then I'm going to ask you to contribute to it).

First the big news: We have a "match" opportunity — up to $50,000 in total donations — and we need supporters like you to come through.

This happens when a generous supporter of the fair maps movement steps forward with a commitment to donate a dollar for every dollar we raise in a specific time period. They "match" what we raise from the grassroots donations, making each donation twice as impactful.

So if you make a $10 donation, the donor will match it with $10. If you make a $75 donation, the donor will match it with $75. If you make a $500 donation, the donor will match it with $500.

Will you please help the All On The Line campaign take full advantage of our $50,000 end-of-year match opportunity by making a gift of any size right now?

The positive impact y'all will have on our democracy gives me hope for the future. It's been a tough year — especially this last month or so — but playing even a small role in this growing movement is what motivates me to keep going. Fair maps impact our daily lives today — and will have massive impacts on our future.

Next year alone, there are off-year and special elections across the country that will decide the control of multiple state legislatures, a governorship, and at least four state supreme court seats — one of which could determine control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. That means there's critical organizing to do to counter threats to fair elections and help ensure a more representative democracy.

We also need to be ready for concrete threats ahead like Donald Trump and his allies undermining the census, more attacks on the Voting Rights Act, and ongoing attempts to gerrymander at the state level.

We can do this. We can make our maps more fair and protect our democracy. And now, with this match opportunity, we have a chance to come together and make sure we have the resources we need to do so. If you want to make a lasting impact, please consider chipping into our end-of-year match fund.

Appreciate you,
Vic
