Pamela, Workers at Amazon facilities around the country are striking―and the union is fighting back. We knew that this would happen, and we know that we can count on the movement to have our backs. Amazon fired Ryan Brown, president of the NC union Carolina Amazonians for Solidarity & Empowerment (CAUSE). Ryan is a powerhouse organizer who is close to making the RDU1 facility near the Raleigh-Durham area the first unionized Amazon warehouse in the south. CAUSE has been operating on a shoestring budget, and now Ryan is unemployed just before the holidays. Can you chip in to help Ryan pay his legal expenses and other bills while he fights Amazon over this unjust, union-busting firing? Funds donated on GoFundMe will go immediately and directly to him. Brown co-founded Carolina Amazonians for Solidarity and Empowerment (CAUSE) almost three years ago. He has bravely led CAUSE's campaign for union recognition and better conditions for the giant facility's miserably treated workers. Amazon made up a basis for firing Brown because they're afraid of what CAUSE has built. But they can't fire this movement. Don't let Amazon win! Support Ryan Brown's GoFundMe and help CAUSE win a union in North Carolina! In solidarity, Mike Phelan Progress America |
