2025 will be a decisive year for the fight to protect our planet.
We won't wait for right-wing politicians and the fossil fuel industry to destroy communities and livelihoods with their dirty power.
Instead, 350 is campaigning to create a brighter future. We're building a Global Solidarity Fund to train and support climate activists in the fight for a 100 percent renewable energy future.
Pamela, the fight for our planet is bigger than any one politician or country.
That is exactly why here at 350, we are working side-by-side with local communities across Africa, the Pacific Islands, the Brazilian Amazon, and all over the world, to take the power out of the hands of the fossil fuel companies and bring it into the hands of frontline communities.
Next year, we are gearing up for the first-ever "Renew Our Power" gathering to train climate activists on how to install solar in their communities and organize against the fossil fuel industry.
- The gathering will happen in Brazil's capital city, Brasília, in April, 2025;
- We will gather 250 community leaders from all over the world (people from 85+ countries have applied!);
- We'll be livestreaming the panels from top keynote speakers who are building the world of clean, affordable, community-owned energy that we deserve;
- We're prioritizing slots for leaders of community organizers from equity deserving groups;
- By the end, we want everyone to feel more agency to shape the future of renewables in our communities, sparking campaigns and action all over the world.
When I look around the world at what 350 and the climate movement is accomplishing, I feel hope and resolve that the fight for our planet is only just getting started.
But there is only one way forward, Pamela, and that is together. So thank you for chipping in what you can to support the 350 Solidarity Fund.
