Kash Patel has helped Trump escalate federal invasions into our cities and purge the FBI of career officials who worked on January 6 cases. At the same time, Patel is taking personal trips on the taxpayer's dime.
The FBI Director used a government jet to fly to central Pennsylvania to attend a wrestling event where his girlfriend was singing the national anthem, then to her home in Nashville. That's just the beginning. He also used government resources to fly to a luxury resort in Texas owned by the family of a MAGA donor.
Now, Patel has reportedly assigned an FBI SWAT team to act as the security detail for his girlfriend. Sources familiar with FBI security protocols told NBC that they were unaware of any instance when the girlfriends of top FBI officials received government-staffed security details. Congress must open a full investigation into this misuse of funds.

Patel's trip to the luxury resort and wrestling event took place during the government shutdown when much of his staff had to work without pay. A former FBI agent called Patel's government jet trip to see his girlfriend sing in the middle of a shutdown "pathetic."
Patel also flew to a UFC event and a hockey game, among a slew of other personal trips on government jets.
Patel's rampant use of government resources for personal use is more than just pathetic, it's likely outright corruption. Congress must investigate Patel and hold the FBI Director accountable.
