Pamela – a Stephen Miller-founded group of legal trolls calling themselves
'America First Legal' just petitioned the Election Assistance Commission to impose a nationwide proof-of-citizenship requirement for voter registration.
This would stop at least 21 million Americans from registering to vote. And this would predominantly block married women and others who've changed their names, as well as young and old voters, voters of color, Indigenous people and low-income communities.
Donald Trump's DOGE agenda make it hard to get the kind of documentation that Miller insists is necessary to vote. Far more eligible voters will be denied their rights than fraudulent voters will be prevented.
The Election Assistance Commission is accepting public comments until Oct. 20. That means there's time for you to tell them to reject this dangerous measure. Tell them to reject voter suppression in all its forms.
