Pamela,
As the government shutdown drags into its fifth week, the Trump administration's goal is for federal workers to feel alone, under siege, and powerless.
Organizers know: The best way not to feel alone is to get together. So AFGE, the union that represents 800,000+ federal workers, is hosting a Shutdown Power Happy Hour tomorrow in DC.
If you're able to, chip in $10 and buy a furloughed federal worker a beer (or non-alcoholic beverage of their choice)!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
As a reminder: These are the workers who make sure Social Security checks have been going out, who keep planes from crashing, and who keep our water safe to drink. None of them have gotten a paycheck since September.
Together, we've raised thousands to buy their families groceries. We've sent thousands of messages to members of Congress urging them to stop jerking federal workers around. We're keeping up the pressure, but these workers need a pick-me-up.
Can you chip in $10 or more and buy a federal worker a drink?
In solidarity,
The Labor Force
