Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are officially taking us into a government shutdown. All because they refuse to work with Democrats and lower healthcare costs for working families around the country.
For the last nine months, Republicans have relentlessly attacked health care. They've raised the costs of medication, slashed funding for critical scientific and medical research, put rural hospitals around the country at risk of closing, and cut insurance for around 15 million Americans.1 If they get their way with this budget, premiums will explode for even more families.

Republicans are refusing to negotiate on their proposed funding resolution; they'd rather push through any policy Trump asks for. If they get their way, critical Affordable Care Act tax credits will expire and raise out-of-pocket premiums on Americans by an average of 75%.2 We are counting on Democrats to stand up and fight for us and against Trump's executive overreach.
