It's frightening to think about what Donald Trump will do when he's back in the White House.
But Climate Power is ready for the fight ahead. We've spent months planning for this possibility. We were built for moments like this. And we know what we need to do to protect our climate progress.
Today, we want to share a little bit of our thinking on the road ahead:
- In tangible and specific ways, we will make it crystal-clear that undermining the country's clean energy plan will generate economic disaster.
- Every day, we will draw the connection between clean energy and job creation -- spotlighting the more than 300,000 clean energy jobs already created, from electricians, mechanics, construction workers, and technicians, to support staff.
- With our political research and rapid response operation, we'll find ways to push back on Trump appointments and slow down, derail, or redirect policies that threaten our climate progress.
- We will highlight the tangible effects, backed by science and research, that the Trump administration's plans will have on our environment and our health.
- And we'll work to generate press scrutiny and public dissent to maximize potential blowback in the face of all these Trump administration attacks.
We'll make it so any and every attempt to repeal our country's clean energy progress fails. Full stop. Americans will stand up in overwhelming and bipartisan numbers to defeat any attempt from Trump to destroy those jobs.
But only if we work together.
