Pamela, I remember the first time we found ourselves facing a Trump administration. In those moments of anger and fear, we sparked a resistance. We organized and we persisted. We marched and we pushed back. We didn't know what was to come, but we vowed to fight back. And then this year, November 5 happened — and it feels like we're back where we started. But now, the President-elect has told us exactly what he plans to do, and his followers have written Project 2025 as a blueprint for the harm and disruption they intend to cause. This time, we know what to expect. While millions agree with the harm that Trump has promised, we have to remember that millions also did not agree, and they spoke up. While the outcome of the election has left us with more questions than answers, our work is not done. I know we're exhausted, disheartened, and scared. But we've been here before. We've fought, resisted, and built — together. Today, we keep moving forward. I hope Fair Fight can count on your support as their work to protect voting rights is more important than ever. As we prepare for the next four years, we cannot think that it's enough this time to just resist. This time, we must insist. We must insist on a government and leaders that respect our needs and demand the same for our communities. We must insist on fighting for our rights, even if we think we're going to lose. We must insist on our own power and the change we have accomplished. We exist between elections and between the harms. We are responsible for making the good and making change. Our democracy depends on ensuring every voice is heard and every vote counts — and with your help, Fair Fight can continue to champion voting rights. Keep believing in your vision and fighting, Pamela. Stacey Abrams Fair Fight |
