Hegseth has a bare minimum of experience in the armed services, and zero experience running an agency as sprawling and complicated as the Department of Defense. Hegseth was also credibly accused of sexual assault in 2017―making him of kin with disgraced former Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz.
