Pamela, Last week, the National Labor Relations Board issued a ruling that banned bosses from forcing employees to sit through anti-union propaganda meetings. These "captive audience meetings" are one of the top tactics that anti-union consultants at Amazon, Starbucks, and southern automakers use to try to stop union organizing campaigns. Now, they're illegal. But unless the Senate acts quickly, the pro-worker majority on the NLRB will be short-lived. With Donald Trump headed back to the White House with union-buster Elon Musk in tow, the next set of NLRB nominees will likely be far more likely to take the boss's side. But the current NLRB Chair has been re-nominated, and if she is confirmed by December 16th, it will lock in a pro-worker majority on the Board until 2026! Tell your Senators: Demand that Congress immediately re-confirm NLRB Chair Lauren McFerran and lock in a pro-worker majority on the NLRB! In solidarity, Mike Phelan Progress America |
