Pamela, today's a special day! It's May Day — a day to lift up workers and stand in solidarity with those bravely fighting to unionize their workplaces. Did you know that I was part of a group of employees that voted to unionize our workplace? In my first job, we simply couldn't afford the cost of housing, groceries, transportation, and other living expenses unless something changed — an experience so many workers in Delaware and across the country are facing right now. Unionizing led to better pay and benefits — almost immediately. Every worker deserves a living wage, basic protections, good benefits, and the support necessary for them to thrive. And I've seen firsthand how the right to unionize empowers workers and improves their working conditions, Pamela. That's why in Congress, I'll advocate for workers' rights and strengthen unions — starting by sponsoring and supporting the PRO Act, legislation that will empower workers to unionize and protect employees from union-busting. I need to know if you're with me, Pamela. This May Day, can you add your name to show your support for the PRO Act and our fight to advocate for workers? In the State Senate, I enshrined protections for unionizing workers in state law, cosponsored the $15 minimum wage law, passed paid leave, and fought for better pay and benefits for educators and state employees — all while working arm-in-arm with labor unions in Delaware. I'm ready to take this fight to Washington and pass federal protections for workers fighting to negotiate for better wages, benefits, and conditions. And I'm proud that I've earned the endorsement of more than 25 unions across Delaware. But I need you on my team, too. Can you add your name and show your support for pro-worker legislation, like the PRO Act? In solidarity, Sarah McBride |
