The results are in: Maryland MoveOn members have voted overwhelmingly to endorse Angela Alsobrooks for election to the U.S. Senate!

Dear MoveOn member,

The results are in: With 80% of votes cast in favor, MoveOn members in Maryland have voted overwhelmingly to endorse Angela Alsobrooks for election to the U.S. Senate!  

 

First, let us tell you about Angela Alsobrooks. 

Angela Alsobrooks has spent her life serving Maryland, guided by a strong commitment to community and justice. A graduate of Duke University and the University of Maryland School of Law, she became the first full-time Assistant State's Attorney for domestic violence in Prince George's County. As State's Attorney, she successfully reduced violent crime by half and created a unit to address police misconduct. In 2018, she made history as the first woman and first Black woman elected as Prince George's County Executive. Her tenure focused on economic development, job creation, and education, including the construction of 10 new schools and expanded health care services. As a mother, she is deeply attuned to the needs of Maryland families and aims to bring her strong, compassionate leadership to the Senate.

As the Democratic nominee, Alsobrooks faces a competitive challenger in former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. While the campaign heats up, Hogan is airing ads on television misleading voters about his position on reproductive rights. Make no mistake; Angela Alsobrooks is the ONLY person on the ballot who will safeguard our rights in the U.S. Senate. Chip in to support her election, and fight against the Republican ploy to strip us of our rights.
