Our first end-of-month deadline since Beto announced our run for governor is quickly approaching tomorrow at midnight, and I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out about the state of this race.
Here's the bad news: Before Beto jumped in this race, Greg Abbott was building his fundraising machine. He already has a $55 million war chest thanks to his special interest mega-donors, and in competitive races like ours, the candidate who spends the most usually wins.
But here's the good news: This people-powered movement is up to the task! After we emailed yesterday, $5, $10, and $25 donations flowed in from across Texas. Now, we need to keep up this momentum so we can hit our $200,000 November fundraising goal by midnight tomorrow.

To win, we're going to build the biggest and best organizing program Texas has ever seen. That means visiting all 254 counties, knocking on every door in every neighborhood, and talking to everyone — Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and first-time voters.
Beto is focused on building a big, bold vision for Texas that encompasses everyone, but we need this grassroots movement to have his back.
