Thank you for your support (here are some ways to keep it growing)

From our entire team, thank you so much for your generous support of MoveOn. Your support has helped build a shared movement around important issues, including economic inequality, voting rights, climate crisis, racial justice, immigrants' rights, and more.

Dear MoveOn member,

From our entire team, thank you so much for your generous support of MoveOn. Your support has helped us build a shared movement around important issues, including economic inequality, voting rights, climate crisis, racial justice, immigrants' rights, and more.

To ensure that we're able to keep fighting for progressive change, we wanted to share some new ways that you can keep your support going and growing.

Ready to learn how you can maximize your impact? Here we go!

1. The first—and easiest—thing you can do is click here to make a tax-deductible contribution of $40, $100, $300, or $600 to the MoveOn Education Fund, a separate 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your contribution could potentially get you a special tax deduction of up to $300 (or $600 for married couples) in 2021, if you take the standard deduction!1 If you itemize, you can potentially deduct even more.2

2. If you have a donor-advised fund, you can direct its operator to make a gift to the MoveOn Education Fund. Click here to get started. (We've partnered with FreeWill to make doing this easier for you.)

3. If you own stock that's gone up in value, you can donate it—and pay no capital gains tax. The MoveOn Education Fund will receive the full value of your stock donation, and you won't owe taxes on any capital gains, whether you itemize or not. To donate appreciated stock, click here. (Our partnership with FreeWill helps make it easy to do.)

4. If you own cryptocurrency that's gone up in value, you can donate it—and pay no capital gains tax. To donate crypto, click here. (We've partnered with the Giving Block, which will process your gift, and the MoveOn Education Fund will receive the full value of your crypto donation.)

5. And if you are over 70.5 years old and have an IRA, you can make a qualified charitable distribution to the MoveOn Education Fund. Required minimum distributions, which were suspended for 2020, are back in 2021. One great way to meet your minimum-distribution requirement is to donate some or all of it to the MoveOn Education Fund. To get started on your qualified charitable distribution, click here. (Our partnership with FreeWill makes this process easy.)

With your continued support, we will continue to deliver on our shared commitment to building a country where everyone can truly thrive.

We'll fight on every front: by working to rebuild and restructure our nation's economy to make it more fair and equitable, protecting voting rights and our democracy, dismantling systemic racism, addressing the climate crisis, and so much more.

Thanks for all you do and all the ways you give. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership.

–Heather, Manny, Chelsea, Jennifer, and the rest of the team
