I hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
All is well with the O'Rourkes. It's been wonderful to spend these last few days at home in El Paso with Amy and the kids. We've been taking hikes, throwing the football, playing music, watching too much TV (the new Peter Jackson Beatles documentary and Yellowstone) and eating too much food (Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's and everything left over).
But part of what makes it special is that it's got to end. The kids have to go back to school, Amy needs to get back to work, and it's time for me to hit the road again.
Over the next two weeks I'll be driving to and spending time in Midland, Stamford, Fort Worth, Killeen, Austin, San Marcos, Sugar Land, Houston, Galveston, Beaumont, Nacogdoches, Marshall, Texarkana, Paris, Wichita Falls, Amarillo, and Lubbock among other important Texas communities.
It's a lot of ground to cover, but important to do it if we're going to meet all the Texans who will decide the outcome of this election.
And it's only possible to do all of this with your help and financial support.
Whether it's putting gas in the truck, renting the venues for our meetings, or supporting our volunteers who are knocking on doors across the state right now, what you pitch in goes directly to winning this election.
I want to deliver for every Texan as our state's next governor. The only way I know how to do that is by first showing up everywhere, listening to everyone, and making sure that we bring everyone in — no one written off and no one taken for granted.
Thanks for making sure I have the resources to get it done,
Beto
