DECEMBER 2025 NEWSLETTER  SPECIAL END-OF-YEAR EDITION 2025 is a year many children around the world will never forget. Violence, hunger, displacement and trauma have caused suffering for children in the hardest-to-reach places. Worse, humanitarian aid funding cuts have made it harder to meet their needs.  Despite these challenges, supporters like you have helped us be there for children when they needed it most.  Before the year ends, we want to highlight a few of the many times throughout the year when our generous donor community made a difference in delivering emergency relief, care and support. If you haven’t made a gift yet or want to amplify your impact before the year ends, take advantage of our newly upgraded 5X match to make 5X the difference for children into the new year!**   Creating child-friendly spaces for Sudanese refugees affected by conflict For over two years, violence has threatened children’s lives in Sudan. It forced 16-year-old Ali* to flee his home, and he now lives in a refugee camp in Uganda. Save the Children's child-friendly spaces in the camp provide Ali with safety and comfort so he can play soccer and continue his education.  Read more about the many ways Save the Children works to protect children like Ali.   Helping children overcome malnutrition in Gaza Babies and children in Gaza are fighting severe malnutrition due to the war. At just 6 months old, Alma* became malnourished, but our nutrition team helped her recover. Months later, after famine began spreading and economic conditions worsened, she began losing weight again. Thankfully, a Save the Children clinic quickly diagnosed Alma and started treatment with therapeutic food.  See the impact Save the Children is making for children like Alma who’ve been affected by hunger in Gaza.   Responding to the earthquake in Myanmar In March, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, destroying homes and key infrastructure. Fear of aftershocks forced families to live in makeshift tents, including a young mother of a 4-year-old and her ten family members. Save the Children provided safe shelter – and supporters like you made it possible. Learn more about Tin Tin’s* story and how Save the Children is providing relief in Myanmar.   Delivering relief after tornadoes devastated the Midwest From West Virginia to Kentucky to Oklahoma, this year’s deadly tornadoes left a trail of destruction – robbing children of safe spaces to learn and causing emotional distress. Our teams provide lifesaving emergency services with a special focus on children to ensure they can recover and enjoy their childhood.  See how we’ve delivered relief to families affected by tornadoes over the years.   Learn the many ways you can make an impact before the year ends Your tax-deductible donation can fuel our efforts to reach more children next year. You can give through your donor-advised fund (DAF), IRA, cryptocurrency or make a gift in honor of a loved one.  Save the Children believes every child deserves to grow up healthy, learning and safe. No matter how you give today, you can create a brighter future for children.   **A generous group of donors has donated to a matching gift fund to inspire more donors like you to support our work, and every $1 you donate will unlock $5 from this pool for the first $1,600,000 in donations or until 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2025.
