Our New Year’s Resolution? No Wars!

Pamela: Despite allegations of illegal orders and human rights violations, Trump's unauthorized bombing campaign targeting Venezuela is picking up steam — and he's showing no signs of stopping.

To do it, he's made a chilling callback to the deceptive playbook Bush and Cheney used to drag us toward war in Iraq two decades ago, designating fentanyl a "weapon of mass destruction."

While Trump seems dead set on marching us straight into war, Win Without War is doing everything we can to stop him.

Through this busy holiday season, our small team has been racing to push Congress to end Trump's strikes and block a march toward a war with Venezuela. Meanwhile, we're launching NEW Know-Your-Rights billboards to connect servicemembers with resources should they face illegal orders.

We have big plans to continue this ever-important work heading into 2026. But the truth is, expanding this campaign requires resources. To be ready for what comes next, we've set a $100,000 December fundraising goal — and as we head into the last hours of the month, we're still short. Fortunately, generous donors are matching the first $10,000 in end-of-year donations, meaning your gift today can have DOUBLE the impact.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

We've seen this before: As Trump grows increasingly desperate, he escalates. Today, that looks like bringing us closer and closer to another endless war. After weeks of threatening land strikes, he announced a "total and complete" blockade of all U.S.-sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving the country.[1]

Combine this with an unauthorized campaign of extrajudicial killings in the Caribbean and Pacific that has already killed more than 100 people? It's a dangerous recipe for all-out war.

If you're worried, you're not alone. Trump's boat strikes are as unpopular as they are illegal. The people are clear: We don't want another war. That's why Win Without War is leading the charge to derail Trump's march toward war.

It'll require us to level up our advocacy on Capitol Hill to halt the strikes and prevent war with Venezuela. After War Powers Resolutions in both chambers failed by razor-thin margins, we are now just a handful of votes away from Congress delivering a major bipartisan rebuke blocking Trump's warmongering — and we will continue to make sure elected officials feel the heat from their constituents until we get there.

At the same time, we're racing to launch new billboards so that servicemembers understand they have options if they're faced with illegal orders. It's a message now being echoed by high-profile lawmakers as more troops question their roles in Trump's unauthorized bombing campaign.

We've faced moments like this before: Together with our partners here and around the world, we built a coalition of activists who demanded change and successfully got bipartisan majorities of a Republican-led Congress to vote against U.S. military aid to Saudi Arabia in the face of incredible suffering and violence in Yemen during the first Trump administration. If we did it once, that means we can do it again.

Any gap in fundraising has serious consequences for our team's ability to keep up the pressure and finally finish what, together, we started this year. That's why we're coming to you today, Pamela.

We've learned our lessons from Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and endless wars across the globe. We will not be driven by lies into yet another war. And we won't stop fighting for a world where everyone, no matter where they live, has the opportunity to live free from the threat of violence.

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
