Even as the Trump administration continues its attacks on justice reform, cities across the country continue to prove that when we invest in solutions that put people first, we can make a real difference: |
- Albuquerque, New Mexico, created a new city department that coordinates crisis response and violence intervention. The office has diverted more than 33,000 calls from police.
- New Orleans, Louisiana, introduced a 24/7 citywide mobile response team dispatched through 911 calls, staffed by behavioral health professionals—not law enforcement.
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania stopped police from pulling drivers over for minor infractions—decreasing stops for non-safety-related traffic enforcement.
Pamela, these are just a few examples of the progress we can make in Rockledge and around the country. |
