On this day 235 years ago, Congress authorized the creation of America’s first naval force. Help us celebrate the U.S. Coast Guard’s birthday by adding your name to our card today!

To honor their 235 years of service, we're hoping to reach 23,500 signatures by MIDNIGHT via email and text message — 100 for each year that Coast Guardsmen have run toward danger to keep us safe. Whether they're protecting us on the high seas or performing heroic rescues after natural disasters, the brave men and women of the Coast Guard deserve our support and gratitude.

Police Department, protecting 95,000
miles of U.S. coastline.

20,000 search and rescue cases every
single year. That works out to more
than 50 every day.
