Our work saves lives

Thank you for being part of this impactful work.

Win Without War

Pamela: We know we've had a lot of requests for you lately — from telling Congress to get aid into Gaza to calling on Major League Baseball teams to keep people safe by barring ICE from their stadiums.

Your impact cannot be overstated. Your phone calls, your letters, your willingness to show up to events, your financial support, and so much more all point to a future where people can live in peace and dignity, free of the threat of violence. Here's what that means in action (and scroll down for a few photos of what it looks like too!):

  • As the Trump administration considers expanding the failed "war on drugs" with drone strikes in Mexico, our partner organization, the Win Without War Education Fund (WWW-EF), organized our first-ever tabletop exercise (TTX), right in the halls of Congress, and published "No Winners: Simulating the Aftermath of a U.S. Attack on Mexican Cartels."

The TTX demonstrated that U.S. attacks on Mexico would disrupt trade, threaten communities on both sides of the border, and more. What strikes won't do? Curb the violence of organized crime in Mexico or slow the flow of fentanyl reaching communities in the United States.

  • In May, Win Without War, the Drug Policy Alliance, and the Washington Office on Latin America welcomed a delegation of families impacted by the fentanyl crisis to DC. Across 26 meetings, we took our "No War With Mexico!" message directly to Capitol Hill where these courageous parents made clear: Increased violence is no solution to the crisis their families face.

  • When we appealed for funds for Standing Together, Combatants for Peace, and Families Forum — three incredible groups working across borders to break the cycle of violence in Israel and Palestine — Win Without War activists didn't hesitate. Thanks to you, we raised more than $25,000 over just three days.

  • In June, WWW-EF traveled south to host a first-of-its-kind leadership training with RepGA, a nonpartisan organization committed to recruiting and supporting candidates for office in Georgia. At three events across Atlanta, Athens, and Albany we taught dozens of leaders how to apply their progressive principles to foreign policy — and put those values into action!

  • Last month, when Trump illegally pushed us dangerously close to an all-out U.S.-Iran war, Win Without War jumped into action. Together with movement partners and tens of thousands of supporters saying "No War with Iran," we reminded this White House that we will push back on ANY attempts to drag us into war.

And we're not done. Next week, we'll host part two of our summer webinar series on anti-authoritarianism, "International Anti-Authoritarian Movements: What the U.S. Anti-Authoritarian Movement Can Learn From Abroad" on Wednesday, August 13 at 3:00 PM ET. Registration is free but space is limited, so please RSVP now!

RSVP

Pamela, in the first half of 2025, activists like you have taken more than 700,000 actions to push for peace and defend communities at risk. There's more to do still — onward.

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
