Hey Pamela,
For decades, scientists have been sounding the alarm on the impacts of climate change and the need to take swift action to prevent an irreversible climate crisis.
Our opponents, on the other hand, have claimed that "climate change isn't real," or said, "those policies are radical and unrealistic."
We've heard all that nonsense before. And that doesn't discourage us -- it motivates us. That's how Climate Power was born five years ago, to harness public support, champion climate defenders, and build political will for climate action. And that's exactly how we were able to pass the single largest investment in climate and clean energy in 2022.
The severity of the climate crisis, along with the recent rolling back of our climate protections is overwhelming and daunting. But we won't accept defeat, and we're doubling down on our mission to take on climate deniers and get more climate champions into positions of leadership so we can keep making the kind of progress that will save our climate.

Climate Power is on the frontlines of the fight against climate deniers. Here's an insight on how we're approaching the fights ahead of us:
- Using targeted political research and rapid response operations to respond to anti-climate legislation and attacks;
- Creating narratives that drive sustained media reporting to mobilize public opposition to bad climate policy;
- Shining a light on elected officials choosing Big Oil and the fossil fuel industry over American families;
- Drawing the direct correlation between clean energy and job creation; and
- Educating the public about the science-backed consequences of Republicans' climate agenda.
The fact of the matter is that our communities, including the communities with climate-denying leaders representing them, are depending on clean energy progress, the jobs it's creating, and the lower costs it has delivered.
With the Republican Rate Hike now law, we have to use our platform, tools, and strategy to reach folks and let them know who is to blame for their costs rising and the climate crisis worsening.
Thank you for being on this team,
Climate Power
