Pamela, this is your last chance to sponsor a volunteer this year – and by doing so, you'll make an impact for thousands of voters. Will you chip in right now?
Pamela, I'm writing to let you know about the smartest way you can make an impact on tomorrow's elections.
You know well what's at stake -- but so do wealthy megadonors, with over $16 billion projected to be spent when all is said and done. [1] And sadly, most of that money won't go to anything that matters – just endless TV ads or right into the pockets of political consultants.
If you are looking for a way to cut through the noise – and to give in a way that will actually move the needle for voters – I urge you to consider sponsoring an Election Protection volunteer today.
Our volunteers help voters when they need it the most, from the primaries all the way to Election Day and beyond: when they're facing confusion or suppression at the polls. As a friendly, pro-voter face, they'll help overcome obstacles to the ballot by providing both advocacy and access to resources.
Thanks to our training and support infrastructure, these volunteers are empowered to assist dozens of voters across a single shift – making the difference between a voter casting their ballot or going home in frustration.
Pamela, this will be the first presidential election since the January 6th attack on our democracy. Since then, extremist state legislatures have cooked up more than 60 anti-voter laws, making our work together more urgently needed than ever.
So, with your help, we're fighting back, working directly with affected voters to help them exercise their most fundamental right.
Believe it or not, we're now less than 24 hours away from polls opening, and unfortunately, we're just shy of our budget goal for building out the volunteer support network voters deserve.
But we're not giving up – we're in the final hours of training volunteers on the state-by-state rules around elections. What we raise could be the difference between dozens of voters casting their ballots or going home disappointed.
Thankfully, we've got a great head start. A fellow Common Cause member has donated $250,000 towards our Election Protection efforts in hopes of inspiring others to support our work. With your help, we can multiply the impact of his gift to fully fund our Election Protection program through tomorrow's election and beyond.
Now I need your help to fund the rest. Can I count on you to chip in $50 – enough to train and place one volunteer – or anything you can afford to help us reach our most important deadline of the year?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thanks for all you do,
Elena Nunez, Senior Vice President of State Operations
and the team at Common Cause
P.S. Join us next Tuesday to hear from Common Cause's nationwide network of voting rights leaders about the impact we made together – and where we're headed next. RSVP now to reserve your place in advance.
