I was honored to win re-election last night and I promise to continue to work toward bipartisan solutions for New Yorkers. I know we are all disappointed in the results nationally last night; however, it is imperative we not give up and continue to fight for a better future. I also want to express gratitude for the successes we saw in New York. In particular, the new Congress will have four more Democratic members of congress from New York than the last — a direct result of the unprecedented coordinated campaign effort we spearheaded this cycle. In addition, New York passed a constitutional amendment guaranteeing equal rights for New Yorkers. The path forward starts today.
