Hop into our time machine real quick:

This is a map of the results from the 2004 House election:

Map of 2004 House election results

It was Nancy Pelosi's first term as House Democratic Leader, and Republicans won 232 seats in Congress. Some thought it was the end of the road for the Democratic Party.

But in 2006, Nancy Pelosi helped Democrats find their footing, put together one of the biggest victory operations ever seen, and built a stunning 31-seat Democratic Majority.

We know the results from last week are beyond disappointing, but we cannot fall into despair and surrender. There is always hope for the future.

We need to roll up our sleeves and get back to work.

House Democrats defied political gravity this cycle, and our next best chance at putting a check on Trump is to build on our gains and take back the House in the midterms.

Can you chip in $4 or anything you can spare today to continue the fight and to support House Democrats? We’re still in this to fight back against anti-democratic Republicans across the country.
