Pamela, Our lives, our families, our abortions, our pregnancies shouldn't depend on who is elected president. Our elections shouldn't cause fear and chaos for people who are just doing their best to take care of their families and themselves. But we know that this election, and the chaos that will follow, is going to deeply shape all of our reproductive lives. There was always going to be more work to do, no matter who won. We are going to have to work that much harder to meet people's needs and keep each other safe. If/When/How's Repro Legal Helpline, our Repro Legal Defense Fund, and our litigation team are preparing for the chaos that comes after the election. Please chip in $5 so we can meet people's needs today, tomorrow, and in 2025. Like so many of our partners who provide practical support, we're always here for our people who need abortions no matter who sits in the White House. Our wrap around legal services are free and confidential no matter someone's immigration status or age, and they will be here in 2025. We have already seen what a Trump administration means for pregnant people: growing abortion stigma weaponized by our legal system, the denial of emergency abortion care that has cost people their lives or fertility, increases in maternal mortality, the rising denial of abortion for incarcerated people, and massively expanded barriers to abortion. It also means increased surveillance, policing, and border militarization. It means there will be no one from the federal government to fight for abortion, immigration justice, trans rights, housing justice, and for any Supreme Court challenges. But we've kept people out of jail during a Trump presidency, and we will do it again. We aren't going anywhere. Can you channel your anger and donate $5 so we can be there for anyone who needs our wrap around legal services in 2025? You are a big part of this work. Our work to realize a more just world does not stop with a single election. We cannot abandon people in the chaotic cruelty of police, prosecutors, and politicians. And we'll do it together. In solidarity, If/When/How |
