Pamela, TODAY is Election Day and the Common Cause Florida team hopes you are as excited about democracy as we are!
Find Your Election Day Polling Place
Polls close at 7pm today – so now's the time to make a plan if you haven't voted already.
I want you to know that Common Cause Florida is working actively with election officials to make sure today's vote is conducted safely and fairly -- and to make sure every voter has access to the ballot box.
Your voice matters in this momentous election. Here are some resources to help you successfully cast your ballot today:
● Polls are open from 7am - 7pm local time. If you are in line by 7pm, you must be allowed to vote. Bring photo ID and be sure to go to the polling place assigned to your current residence. Find your assigned polling place here.
● Have our voter hotline handy if needed. Last-minute questions or issues? Call the nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE.
● If you need to update the address on your voter registration, we recommend calling your county Supervisor of Elections office to update it over the phone, or you can update it at the polls when you get to your assigned polling location.
● Your vote-by-mail ballot must be received by your county Supervisor of Elections by 7pm today to be counted. If you have not yet returned your vote-by-ballot, drop it off ASAP at the Supervisor of Elections office in your county. Visit your county Supervisor of Elections website for office locations.
Please be prepared in case there is a line. Have some water and maybe a snack with you. And bring your headphones and your favorite playlist to keep yourself excited about voting no matter what is going on at your polling place. Don't let a line - or anything else - stand in the way of your vote!
If you can, please help by forwarding this email to three friends or family members, and encourage them to cast their ballot today.
Thanks for your ongoing dedication,
Abeni Davies, Outreach and Engagement Manager
And the Common Cause Florida Team
