I'm following up on my message from earlier today with a humble request for your support to help 350.org fight back against Trump's fossil fuel agenda.
We've already seen how disastrous a Trump presidency can be for our country and our planet, and we know that his plans this time around are even worse.
The work to defeat Trump's destruction will take all of us. Will you chip in a donation of any amount to help build the resources needed to protect our climate and fight for a clean energy future?
During Donald Trump's first term, he did everything in his power to reverse the progress our climate movement made to protect our planet from the greed and exploitation of the fossil fuel industry.
Now, we're staring down an even more dangerous road. Trump plans to repeal major climate legislation, remove any protected status rules on federal lands and waters to allow for more drilling and mining, rescind EPA standards, and remove the U.S. once again from the Paris Climate Agreement. And that's only the beginning.
But we refuse to give in to despair. During Trump's first term, 350.org and our allies stood up against his countless attacks on our climate and people. We've shown before that we can stop Donald Trump, together, and we need your support to do it again.
Trump isn't in office just yet, Pamela. We still have time to pressure the Biden administration to make ambitious climate commitments at the upcoming COP29 conference and leave behind a strong climate legacy for our country. But that window is closing fast, and we can't afford to lose out on crucial opportunities to mobilize.
There's no denying that our work will be an uphill battle with Trump in office.
But our fight will continue, tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that — just as historic movements of change have in the past. This work will take all of us, but together, we will blaze a bright path through this dark day.
