Pamela, Our team is in the midst of a deep dive to understand the election results, to see what we can learn and how it informs our future work, and plan our next steps in the fight against voter suppression. But there's also some great news — we went in big to support local Democracy Champions here in Georgia who were up against big monied MAGA forces and who won! We endorsed and supported 61 local Georgia candidates in the November General Election — and saw 50 win their elections outright. Three of these candidates, Floyd Griffin, HD 149, Tangie Herring, HD 145, and Bryce Berry, HD 56, flipped Republican-held state legislative seats and defeated extreme anti-democratic Republicans. In a race that is too close to call, Farooq Mughal, HD 105, might be facing a recount. We know these Democracy Champions will work to ensure Georgians can safely and freely cast their ballots and fight for working people, so that our future elections reflect the will of the people. Threats like mass voter challenges and attempts to legislate voter disenfranchisement won't disappear, and we must keep fighting to protect the right to vote. We need leaders who are willing to stand up to election deniers and voter suppressors. Can you chip in today to help Fair Fight support candidates who will work to keep our elections free and fair?
