Indivisibles,

Have you ever wondered about the right phrase to use while navigating a sensitive topic? Have you been seeing book bans and toxic social media culture and questioned how to combat the disinformation running rampant? Then make sure to tune into these virtual education sessions. We have two incredible opportunities coming up for you to learn from subject matter experts on disinformation and persuasion.

First up:

Register for the Truth Brigade Big Truths Call: Book Bans and Toxic Platforms next Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT.

Big Truths Call Book Bans and Toxic Platforms Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30pm ET

American social media platforms engage in ongoing, unregulated attempts to manipulate kids for profit, which have led to severe mental health problems, disruption in classrooms, and even suicide. Children are also at the center of extremist attempts to limit access to libraries, books, and inclusive public education. On this call, we'll have two special guests to break down the why, the how, and what we can do about it: Dalia Hashad is the strategist and director of the Initiative for Online Safety at ParentsTogether -- the nation's largest parents' advocacy group, and Betsy Gomez is a program officer with the American Library Association's Unite Against Book Bans Campaign (UABB). You don't want to miss this incredible duo of speakers.

And the week after:

RSVP for our final Powering Progress education series event -- Persuasion to Power: Using Words that Win with Anat Shenker-Osorio on Wednesday, May 15 at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Persuasion to Power: Using Words That Win on Wednesday, May 15 at 8pm ET

If you've been with us for a while, you're probably familiar with Anat as a regular friend and coalition partner of Indivisible. If you haven't heard from Anat before, this is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best sources of education on messaging in the ecosystem. Anat is principal and founder at ASO Communications and in this session, she'll be giving us expert guidance on "mobisuasion" -- the art of mobilization and persuasion. Learn how to navigate messaging around hot-button topics and specific issues from one of the best in the biz. And bonus: We'll also be joined for some remarks by our very own Leah Greenberg.
