Our daughter Molly turned 11 last Sunday.
Everything that I'm working so hard for, I'm doing for her and for children across this country, including some, her same age, separated from their families and who will be sleeping on concrete floors under tin foil blankets tonight.
To do right by them, to meet the challenges we face, we can't take the same old approach. It's going to take a new kind of politics. One driven by the urgency of the next generation: Climate activists marching for their future, and for everyone's. Students marching for their lives, and for everyone's.
It'll take a movement like the one we led in Texas -- one that renewed our democracy by bringing everyone in and writing no one off. This is how we'll defeat Donald Trump and bring this country together. First, we have tonight's fundraising hurdle that we absolutely have to clear.
I'm counting on you to pitch in one more time before our FEC deadline tonight at midnight. Please give what you can -- any amount gets us closer to the country we're trying to build.
This is an important moment. Present and future generations are counting on us to meet it.
Grateful for everything you've given so far,
Beto O'Rourke
