I'll be honest: It's surreal when your spouse runs for president. Date night definitely looks a little different these days, but we are still trying to maintain our 'coupledom' by enjoying whatever time we have together -- even if it's on the trail -- and always with a sense of humor. So much of the power of this campaign is about the smaller moments. The moments that few people see -- when we're in the airport or at the coffee shop -- and people come up to Kamala to talk about how she's inspired them. Whether they're a Dreamer, a public school teacher, a working mom, or someone who loved what she's done in Senate hearings, it's amazing to see people connect with Kamala as a person and as a candidate for president. As more people get to know Kamala, they see what people she meets on the trail see every day: She's the real deal. And on Thursday, during her first debate of this crowded Democratic primary, Kamala will have a chance to introduce herself to millions of undecided voters across the country. That's why I'm reaching out today. Anything you're able to pitch in before Sunday's big deadline will help our campaign introduce the Kamala we know and love to people across this country. I'm personally asking you to join us in this fight with a contribution. You can pitch in right here: If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: This grassroots team is amazing. It's been my honor to get to know you, work with you, laugh with you, travel all around our great country and meet you everywhere -- all of us bound by our belief in Kamala, and that she WILL be the next President of the United States. Thanks for all you are doing, and I'll be seeing you all again real soon on the campaign trail! — Doug (Kamala's husband) P.S. here's our latest selfie from #NationalSelfieDay: ![]()
