Many are now afraid to go to school or play in the neighborhoods they call home, fearing separation from the people they love. Children across the country are talking with classmates and friends about what’s happening in Minnesota and other communities. The mental and emotional toll of living in fear is especially profound for children – even those who aren’t directly impacted. Children don’t need to be at the center of a crisis to feel its effects.
