| Pamela, It's New Year's Eve, and honestly, we have a lot of mixed emotions about tonight. On the one hand, we're happy to leave 2024 in the past. On the other hand, we know there are tough fights waiting for us in the new year. Despite it all, we're also hopeful. And it's because of the way we've seen this movement step up in the past month. A lot of pundits and Washington insiders were expecting people like us to give up and surrender to Trump's MAGA agenda. But this past month, we've shown we're ready to fight back. Our movement is growing with thousands of people signing up to join or start local Indivisible groups. And while others were navel-gazing, Indivisibles got right back to work organizing in their communities, calling their Members of Congress, and pushing their representatives to safeguard our rights ahead of a second Trump term. We have the grassroots energy we need to take on Trump -- the big question is whether we can sustain and grow it in the new year. Right now, we're not entirely sure. That's because, for the first time this year, we're behind on our fundraising goal for the month. When we set out to raise $400,000 before the end of the year, we knew it was an ambitious target. But this is the amount we believe puts us in the best position to defy Trump's authoritarian agenda and continue growing our movement for democracy.
