Q&A with Press Sec. Jen Psaki: Build Back Better Agenda
Our country faces an urgent choice: Do we keep an economy that serves the wealthiest and biggest corporations, or do we give middle-class families a fair shot?
For far too long, our economy has worked great for those at the top. Meanwhile, hardworking people have been cut out of the deal.
This is our moment to make lasting change.
President Biden's Build Back Better agenda is a historic investment in middle-class families. It will cut taxes for the middle class, lower costs for working families, create more jobs, and sustain economic growth for years to come. And no family earning under $400,000 will pay a penny more in taxes.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki sat down to answer some frequently asked questions about the President's Build Back Better agenda. Watch to learn more →

Investing in climate resilience, creating jobs
We cannot ignore the realities of climate change. That's why President Biden has a plan for the U.S. to achieve 100% clean electricity by 2035 and reach net-zero emissions economy-wide by 2050.
We can do this in a way that creates good jobs, lowers costs, and makes our country a global leader of entirely new industries. In fact, the Build Back Better agenda aims to support 763,000 climate-related jobs a year.
When we invest in climate resilience and infrastructure, we create opportunities for everyone.
"When I think about climate change, I think about not the cost, I think about the good-paying jobs it'll create."
-- President Joe Biden

Looking ahead: Virginia, New Jersey, and beyond
Democrats face important elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and nationwide this November -- elections that will determine our party's momentum as we head into 2022, 2024, and beyond.
President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats all across the country are working around the clock to build this nation back better. But all that they've accomplished this year could be at risk if we lose our majorities. If Republicans pick up just one seat in the Senate, or five in the House, the GOP will have the power to block Democrats' progress.
You have the power to make a difference. If you're in the position to do so, chip in $25 to the DNC today. Anything you contribute will be used to protect the right to vote, expand the map for Democrats, and protect our majorities nationwide.
