By selling jet fighters, tanks, and bombs to the UAE, President Biden is all but guaranteeing that these weapons will be used in the war in Yemen. Let's be clear: life in Yemen is already dire. The ongoing war has thrown millions into starvation and famine, and the Saudi-led blockade has cut off fuel and humanitarian supplies from making it into the country. That means hospitals don't have enough electricity to treat frail, disturbingly underweight children and babies who are literally starving to death. The last thing families in Yemen need is for their neighbor next door to get $23 billions worth of new jets fighters, guns, and bombs to blast their homes apart.
