These statistics are staggering

Americans deserve a government that cares more about people than corporations. Nearly one-fourth of American adults report not being able to pay for their prescription drugs at least once in the past year. 13% report they've had a friend or family member die within the past five years because they couldn't afford the medical treatment they needed. If the situation is this bad before a pandemic and a plunging economy, how much worse will it get? Americans can no longer afford to wait and find out. For too long, our politicians have failed the American people. For too long, greedy pharmaceutical corporations and their lobbyists have squelched any efforts to remedy this injustice.
