| Friend,
I'm running for Senate against Mitch McConnell because we need more leaders with integrity who will put public service over politics and take our oath of office seriously.
And I'm not alone. MJ Hegar, who's running for Senate in Texas against John Cornyn (Mitch McConnell's right-hand man), is a working mom and veteran, and she's ready to get to work to protect health care, lower prescription drug costs, and get big money out of politics.
I know we have what it takes to win, but we're both locked in neck-and-neck races and special interest groups will spend millions to protect Mitch McConnell and his top ally.
If we're going to beat McConnell and his top ally in the Senate, we're going to need this grassroots community to step up in a big way. That's why I'm personally asking you to help us raise $20,000 for our campaigns by tonight at midnight. Please, will you split a $5 donation between my campaign, MJ's campaign, and the DSCC right away?
It's going to take a lot of work to kick Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn out of office, but MJ and I are up for the challenge. I became the first woman Marine to fly in an F/A-18 fighter jet in combat, and MJ has flown in rescue missions in Afghanistan and taken on the Pentagon to open combat roles to women.
MJ and I are ready to continue fighting for what's right in the Senate, and our hard work is paying off. Even with Koch-aligned PACs and outside groups trying their best to discredit us, The Washington Post listed Texas as one of the Senate races most likely to flip and a recent poll showed that I'm beating Mitch McConnell by one point right now!
But McConnell and his allies are raising money hand over fist, and we're relying on grassroots donors like you to help us keep our momentum going and fend off their attacks. Can we count on you?
Please, let's make history together. Chip in now to beat Mitch McConnell, take down his right-hand man, AND flip the Senate. It's going to take all of us working together, but we can do this.
Thank you,
Amy McGrath U.S. Senate candidate, Kentucky
