I’ve been harassed, jailed, and beaten for fighting to protect the values I believe in. And I’m horrified watching this administration do everything they can to upend all the progress -- all the blood and sweat -- I’ve given my entire life to. As I watch the scale of police brutality against communities of color, I know firsthand we’ve been down this road before, but I also know there’s more at stake right now. I’ve watched as this president demeans our constitutional rights -- suggesting he would resort to violence to stop orderly, peaceful protests. And I’ve witnessed this president and his Republican Party work to put up barriers to our sacred right to vote -- jeopardizing our democracy for their political gain. I simply can’t stay silent in the face of the implications of these injustices -- and neither should you. What we need now more than ever is good trouble -- necessary trouble. That’s why I’m proud to be a part of a historic Democratic Majority that is not only fighting each and every second for the American people -- but is also holding this dangerous president accountable.  And now we need your help to protect our ranks before our Mid-Year Deadline in just 24 hours.
