re: South Carolina

Friend,

I'm running for the U.S. Senate against Lindsey Graham (R). And I need your help.

Defeating Graham won't be easy. But nothing about my journey has been easy. I was a poor kid raised by a single mom. Kids like me weren't supposed to make it very far. But I became the first in my family to graduate college, rose through leadership positions on Capitol Hill, and became the first African-American chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party.

Like you, I've watched Lindsey Graham's partisan antics play out on TV. He's placing party over country and political power over the needs of his constituents.

That's not what South Carolina needs, but he's already built up a $4.6 million war chest. I'll need your support to run the top-notch campaign it'll take to defeat him.

So I'm asking -- will you split a $1 donation between my campaign and the DSCC to help flip key Senate seats like South Carolina's?

I've traveled to every corner of South Carolina. And everywhere I go, voters know that Lindsey Graham is more concerned with pleasing his party leadership than delivering results for our state.

While Lindsey gets into partisan shouting matches and focuses all his attention on national issues, South Carolina hospitals are closing. Too many of our people don't have health care. Our roads are crumbling. And voters are ready for a change.

We can win this race. And the DSCC is the only committee exclusively dedicated to electing Democrats like me to the Senate.

So will you split a $1 donation to support my campaign and Democrats running for Senate across the country?
