If you think our campaign is just going to out-raise everyone in this race, please think again.

A New York Times article yesterday highlighted almost every other campaign is running around the country raising huge sums of money at high-dollar fundraising events.

It notes that while most publicly try to fund their campaigns like we do, "Privately, most Democrats also badly need the big checks and are still going behind closed doors to woo the wealthy..."

That's not us, and not what we do.

But it is also why we have to push so hard on this deadline. Because this is how we fund our campaign. And that is why we have to ask:

Can you make a donation before our first, official FEC fundraising deadline comes to a close at midnight tonight? We're still aiming for that 1 million donation mark. Please chip before midnight!

You know Bernie: he isn't running around the country asking rich people for money. And I think that's the way you prefer it, as well. But it also means our only chance to raise what it takes to win is by people making lots and lots of small-dollar donations.
