I want to be straightforward -- I’m humbly asking you for $1 before the critical End of Month Deadline in 9 hours.   If there is one thing I know, it is that I will never stay silent in the fight for basic rights for every American.   I have spilled blood with my brothers and sisters because I believed in equality.   I have been beaten and thrown in jail because I believed every voice deserved to be heard.   So when I see this president use his power to destroy these rights, I need to speak out.   For those of us who have laid their life on the line to bring this country forward, this president’s actions are shameful.   We desperately need to protect our Democratic Majority and keep a check on this dangerous president, but I can’t do it alone.   I wouldn’t ask if this End of Month Deadline wasn’t critically important: Can I count on your $1?   Chip in $1 immediately >> Chip in $35 immediately >> Chip in $50 immediately >> Chip in $100 immediately >> Chip in $250 immediately >> Or donate another amount >> Decades after I marched in Selma, I’m watching injustice rear its ugly head again.   I have witnessed this president bow down to our adversaries across the world, leaving our country, and democracy, in harm’s way. I have seen Republicans in Congress defend his reckless actions. I will never accept this despicable behavior -- would you?   I have seen my Republican colleagues follow blindly as Trump denied the climate crisis that is devastating our planet. They are willing to do whatever it takes to continue on this destructive path for our environment. I cannot sit quiet while our planet is destroyed -- can you?   I have watched this president rip children away from their mother’s arms, all because they came to this country looking for a better life. I refuse to believe that our country is as heartless as this president -- and neither should you. I have witnessed incredible injustices in my lifetime -- but nothing compares to the injustice I have seen under this Administration. I don’t say that lightly.   This End of Month Deadline is the biggest moment we’ve faced so far this year. I can’t overstate the urgency of protecting our Democratic Majority to maintain our check on this dangerous president. I’m calling on 7,775 Democrats before the deadline hits in 9 hours.
