New Hampshire

I just left New Hampshire and I'm humbled that so many amazing people took the time these last few days to join us for my first of what will be many visits as a candidate for president. We started at Gibson's Bookstore in Concord, where I had a great time talking with Granite Staters. Then, we headed to Portsmouth for our first town hall in New Hampshire — the largest so far in this primary. We talked about numerous issues critical to the future of our nation: passing gun safety legislation; giving middle-class families a hand up and ensuring wages meet the cost of living, gas, rent, and utilities; making Election Day a national holiday; the Green New Deal; and more. The place was packed! So many people came out that the fire marshal made us close the doors, so I went outside to talk to the hundreds who braved the snow. This morning, we joined the Politics & Eggs series -- a forum to meet with local leaders and talk about the issues that matter to the people. And, of course, I signed some of their famous wooden eggs: New Hampshire, thank you for sharing your stories, thoughts, and hopes for the future of our nation. I can't wait to be back.
