It's Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost. I know you get a lot of emails but this one is incredibly important.
A lot has changed since I became the first Gen-Z member of Congress nearly 3 years ago. But, one thing hasn't changed: Republicans love attacking me for…not being rich.
When I ran for Congress, I drove for Uber and took on credit card debt just to get by. After my swearing in, I got denied from apartments in D.C. because of my credit.
The truth is that, too often, our political process locks out working people in favor of the ultra-wealthy.
But now, I'm in a place where I can try to do something about it.
As one of the DCCC's Grassroots Engagement Chairs, I know that recruiting the next generation of working class candidates means that Republicans are going to come after them -- just like they came after me. The DCCC is doing the work right now to support these candidates and give them the resources they need to WIN.
If we don't hit our End-of-Year goal, House Republicans and their billionaire megadonors will think that we're not strong enough to win with grassroots support alone. You and I both know that is just not true.
