Pamela,
From Mayo Clinic to the University of Minnesota, Minnesota is home to some of the best health care systems in the country, and that didn't happen by accident. These institutions, and the workers behind them, are a big reason our state continues to lead on health care.
Right now, Washington is mired in chaos. With the Affordable Care Act health care subsidies set to expire, families across the country are facing uncertainty because Congress can't get its act together.
Here in Minnesota, we've chosen a different path.
Together, we've made real progress:
-
Minnesota ranks 3rd best in the nation for health care, based on cost, access, and outcomes.
-
We've kept out-of-pocket costs and insurance premiums lower than most states.
-
Our state has strong public health systems, low maternal mortality, and short ER wait times.
No matter what happens in Washington, I believe in Minnesota's ability to protect access to care, stand up for working families, and keep building a health care system that works for everyone. That's why I'm asking you to add your name to our petition to protect Minnesota's progress going into 2026. Will you add your name today?
If you believe in that future too, I hope you'll add your name.
— Tim Walz
Governor of Minnesota
