Indiana Listened. Florida Must Too.

Indiana spoke up on redistricting, now it's Florida's turn.

Pamela, When people organize, speak up, and demand accountability, lawmakers can be forced to listen. In Indiana, residents made their voices heard during the redistricting process, and legislators responded. Public pressure mattered, community input mattered, and democracy worked. But in Florida, lawmakers are moving in the opposite direction. Instead of listening to voters, Florida legislators are pushing forward with redistricting decisions that could silence communities, remove voter power, and lock in political advantage for years to come. This isn't how democracy is supposed to work. Maps that are not gerrymandered are the foundation of fair elections. When politicians manipulate district lines to protect their own power, voters lose. We know historically that underrepresented communities lose the most. Florida lawmakers need to hear a clear message from the people they represent: We are watching and we expect transparency and accountability. Tell the committee members: Don't cheat. Don't break the law. Don't redraw the maps in the middle of the decade. Take Action: Call Representatives Now Drawing new voting maps before the next election in response to President Trump's call for gerrymandering districts nationwide to benefit his own party is illegal in the state of Florida. The people of Florida made it illegal when we passed the Fair Districts Amendments to our state constitution with a 63% vote in 2010. Florida's maps should reflect our people and our communities, not political ambitions. Allowing lawmakers to reshape districts whenever it benefits them, sets a dangerous precedent and violates public trust. Indiana proved that when enough people speak up, change is possible. Let's make sure Florida lawmakers get the same message, loud and clear. Our democracy works best when elected officials listen to the people. Together, we can demand they do.
