A big part of our work at Redistricting Action is making sure supporters like you know exactly what's going on — and what we're doing about it. Today, we wanted to share a recap of where these fights stand in key states across the country — and ask you to make a gift to help meet the urgent needs of this moment in our battle for fair maps.
Missouri
The Republican-controlled legislature passed a gerrymander that is now being challenged by voters who have submitted over 300,000 citizen signatures through the state's referendum process. To stop this effort, Trump allies have begun pouring millions into Missouri.
Our teams are mobilizing volunteers on the ground to ensure extremists don't get their way.
Indiana
After months of pressure, attacks, and violent threats from Washington, Indiana Senate Republicans rejected one of the most egregiously gerrymandered maps in the country.
Redistricting Action spent months educating, training, and mobilizing voters to speak out against the state's proposed mid-decade gerrymander. Our work paid off, Pamela.
Florida
In another direct attack on democracy, some Florida legislators are bending the knee and joining Donald Trump's push to rig the midterms by further gerrymandering the state's congressional map mid-decade.
We are currently training communities on how to contact their representatives and speak out against any attempt to redraw the map before the 2030 Census.
Pamela, we're grateful to everyone in this people-powered movement who makes it possible for us to push back against attacks and ensure every map truly represents the people. But anti-democracy extremists have shown they'll spare no expense to silence voters in 2026 and beyond.
